Merry December wishes to you all,

I've been away from the net for a while. At Thanksgiving I had 9 guests come from out of state, I started a new job in November & am working a bit more. Things were a bit scary since I was losing my job. Fortunately I went straight into a new one. I'm just thankful for a J-O-B. I also as previously mentioned started doing more swaps. Go to www.swap-bot.com it's so terribly addicting. Because of this I 've made my first apron, dotee dolls, & ATC's. Wow what a blast. I've gotten things from as far away as Germany. I've sent things to Canada, Hawaii, Australia to name a few. Isn't this image a sweetie I found her on Flickr. I have a ton of pics to add I just have to get it done. Hope your finding some time to do the things you love.

Swaps

I have joined the addicting life of Swaps. If you aren't familiar it is when you create a piece of art with a theme & send it off to a fellow artist in another state or country even. It can be a lot of fun. I enjoy it because your giving to a person that also shares your interests most likely & the potential for great friendship is also there. I have been burned already & I've only been at it a few months. This is very disappointing & I could rant about it but I am a believer in what goes around comes around. At any rate this pic is of my Lollipop sweet treat Fairy ATC. Would you believe it's the first time I've made an ATC. Join a swap today it's very well worth it!

Trick R Treat

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween.

Here's my skeleton plaques that went over pretty well at my last show.

We had a fun night going to my oldest son's Spooktacular band concert & then venturing down the Haunted Hallway complete with band kids in costume.

Faux Strawberry Cake

Here is a pic of one of my Faux cake creations. I sold this cake to "Poppy" via Etsy & she was taking a pic to show me how well it worked on her cake plate, when her adorable daughter modeled with it! I just thought it was so cute. Isn't she sweet as pink sprinkles? I explained I needed a good cake model as my boys 15 & 11 are not into modeling with faux cakes alas she said go right ahead & use the pic :) too sweet!

ZNE Convenione

Hello Fabulous Friends! I had the best time in California at the first annual ZNE Convenzione. Welcome to my new home "Little pink House" created in Sally Jean Alexander's workshop. I must say creating this was very fun & freeing. I just let it go & was pretty happy with the end result. Mz Sally Jean was so kind & gracious. She's a lovely person.

I met so many great people as well - The friendship's gained were amazing! Special thanks to Chel & Donna my lil angels that made sure I got where I needed to go :) Cheers to my fab dinner partners (that includes ice-cream for supper), super roomies, fun classmates! I could go on forever but just know I want to do it again soon!

Lollishops

Coming soon I will have a store front featured through Lollishops it will be launching late this fall. My work was chosen for this site which brings many talented women together who are all hand crafters. Many of us have an Etsy site as well but this will vary from that storefront. I will keep you posted as I'm currently adding some new creations in different mediums. Just in time for Christmas - Yeah! I'll keep you posted & let you know when the launch will be :)Can't wait for you to check it out!

Off to California

I'm just tingly over leaving in a few short hours for my Art class through the fabulous group ZNE it's the first annual Convenzione. (www.zneart.com) I stumbled upon this group online & the networking, friendship, & inspiration is trully amazing. I can't begin to tell you what it means to meet more of these fab ladies. I'm taking a class called "Little Pink Houses" by: SallyJean Alexander! (not the exact house I'm making in pic but 3/4")
I'll be sure to write more when I return I'm leaving cyber world behind at home for a few days. I'll take pics too!

Mid week / Angels among us

Well it's been a fairly calm week thus far.

I have had some chronic pain for some time now in my upper neck. I had tried Chiropractor & M.D. but nothing was working. A few weeks ago I went to a different Chiro who practices subluxation which is spinal alignment. This man has offered me such hope. He diagnosed my problem through X-Rays & refuses to "crack" me stating that is not going to help with my ligament damage. So to make a long story short I'm going in 3 days a week along with stretching exercises & by gum I can see a difference in just 2 weeks! Wow! I just had to share because I'm so in awe.

Happy Tuesday

I had a good weekend & survived the heat during square fair. I was very happy with how my booth looked. Here's some pics of it.

I also was able to get my haircut, chair massage, & manicure which was lovely! Proceeds went to local cancer center so it was win win all around. I feel like a semi new woman. Ha

Now it's back to work today - mini vacation is over :( oh well...

This weekend I will be having a booth at Lima, Ohio's Square Fair on Friday Aug. 1st - Saturday Aug. 2nd 12:00 - 9:00.

I will have my crystal / sterling Bracelets, Altered Art pieces, & Faux Cakes / Cupcakes. Along with some custom order created children's canvas personalized crown wallhangings.

The weather should be great & the food & bands also promise to be super!

I'm looking forward to it & hoping for a Super day!
